We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering design consultancy with a strong and growing presence across the water, energy and heavy industrial sectors. Based from their office in South Wales, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding in-house design team working on exciting, multi-disciplinary projects.
The Role
You’ll take technical ownership of a portfolio of projects - from outline through to detailed design, working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain. You’ll also play a key role in leading and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of outline and detailed civil designs to relevant standards
- Design calculations, reports, drawings and BIM‑led deliverables
- Project management - budgets, programmes, quality and H&S compliance
- Leading and developing team members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What They’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in water and/or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Codes of Practice
- Confident leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
