Responsibilities

  • Foresee that all activities needed to maintain equipment are being executed with high quality, focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Detect deviations in the performance of the plant's asset function in time.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and quality execution of routine maintenance work.
  • Establish standard work plans for repetitive maintenance tasks and encourage standardisation.
  • Inspect equipment and facilities on random or scheduled daily tours to detect anomalies.
  • Provide support to Maintenance teams in diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Guarantee the quality of external repair services, spare parts or equipment, inspecting at the supplier or upon arrival at the warehouse.
  • Coordinate contractors' scheduled jobs and monitor quality.
  • Use predictive maintenance techniques where appropriate.
  • Review and analyse plant information (SAP + Shift Reports + Alarm Systems).
  • Provide detailed work orders ensuring safe, efficient execution of all maintenance work.
  • Keep asset documents and drawings updated and organised.
  • Provide support to Engineering and Production teams with preparation of work plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering desired.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and associated tools.
  • In‑depth knowledge and experience in current plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques related to predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal and external departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and find solutions quickly.
