Job Description

We’re supporting an innovative technology company developing next- X-ray imaging solutions. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, research-led business at the forefront of scientific and engineering innovation.

As Principal Scientist, you’ll lead R&D activity focused on advanced semiconductor-based detectors, driving experimental design, prototyping, and validation. You’ll play a key role in shaping the company’s technical direction while remaining hands‑on in developing cutting‑edge imaging technology.

What you’ll do:

• Lead scientific research and product development in advanced detector technology
• Design and execute experiments for performance testing and validation
• Oversee day‑to‑day lab activity and ensure high scientific standards
• Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to meet project goals
• Mentor and develop junior scientists as the team expands

What you’ll need:

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science
• Proven background in radiation detector or semiconductor device development
• Hands‑on experience with photon‑counting or energy‑resolving X‑ray/CT systems
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary projects
• Experience in scientific leadership or team management
