We’re supporting our client, working at the forefront of defence and homeland security innovation, as they look for a rounded electronics engineer to join the team.
This is an opportunity to work on highly varied, technically challenging projects, developing breakthrough solutions that have real-world impact.
Responsibilities
- You will play a key role in delivering advanced electronic systems, working across the full product lifecycle from requirements capture through to design, development, testing, and delivery.
- Projects are typically fast-paced and varied, ranging from early-stage concept work through to fully functioning prototypes.
- You’ll collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers to explore new ideas and rapidly turn them into tangible solutions.
- Your work may involve hardware design, signal processing, embedded systems, or communications technologies, depending on your area of expertise.
- This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple domains, contributing to system architecture, hardware integration, and overall solution development, while maintaining a hands-on approach to engineering and experimentation.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience in electronics design and development within a complex engineering environment.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in several areas: FPGA development, debugging, and testing; DSP design, modelling, and signal processing; high-speed electronics design; RF or microwave electronics design and simulation; hardware design, schematic capture, and validation; embedded software development and debugging; programming in C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, or Simulink; communications systems and networking, including protocol design or implementation; experience working collaboratively on system architecture and hardware integration.
- A strong academic background with a relevant degree and a track record of technical excellence.
- Experience in defence or security environments is beneficial but not essential.
Eligibility for security clearance (SC level or above) is essential.
