A regional M&E Contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team in Cambridge.
Responsibilities
- Full project lifecycle, including budget management, procurement, programme planning, site delivery, commissioning and final handover.
- Ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning.
- Liaison with clients, main contractors, consultants, supply chain, delivery teams and internal management teams.
- Maintain project trackers, producing regular progress reports and ensuring effective communication throughout all stages of the project.
- Attend and lead project meetings.
- Oversee working practices, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A strong working knowledge of mechanical building services systems, relevant industry standards and statutory regulations is essential to ensure high-quality installations and compliance.
- Proven track record of successfully managing mechanical projects up to £5m (M&E).
- Experience working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of managing various stages of the design process.
- Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
- Understanding of project procurement.
- Good people management and motivational skills.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
- The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
- Strong results orientation.
- SMSTS, CSCS skills card and relevant industry qualification.
