Audit Assistant Manager / Audit Manager

Β£50,000 – Β£60,000 + Hybrid / Good Benefits, Camberley

A forward thinking and respected independent accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Audit Assistant Manager / Audit Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional seeking greater responsibility, strong client exposure, and genuine career progression within a supportive and ambitious firm.

The Role

(depending on your experience), you will either:

  • Lead smaller audit assignments whilst supporting senior staff on larger engagements (Assistant Manager)
  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients and oversee assignments from planning to completion (Manager)

You will be involved in the full audit lifecycle, working closely with Partners and senior leadership while supporting and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audits from planning through to completion
  • Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact
  • Review audit work and ensure compliance with UK audit standards
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Manage deadlines, budgets, and workflow
  • Support Partners on larger and more complex assignments
  • Contribute to audit quality and process improvements

About You

  • ACA qualified
  • Strong UK external audit experience within practice
  • Experience leading audit assignments and reviewing work
  • Sound knowledge of UK Auditing Standards, FRS 102 and UK GAAP
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
  • Full right to work in the UK

Assistant Manager candidates will typically have around 2 years post-qualified experience, while Manager candidates should have experience managing audit portfolios and teams.
