We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Antenna Design Engineer to take the next step in their career with a fantastic company. You will join an advanced engineering team working on innovative communications technology projects within a highly collaborative environment. The role would suit an engineer with a strong technical background in antenna design alongside excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. You will play a key role in driving antenna development activities, influencing technical direction, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and project stakeholders. The role will involve design, development, simulation, testing, and integration of antenna solutions across a range of complex engineering programmes. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support project delivery from concept through to production. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop antenna solutions for advanced communication systems
  • Perform antenna simulation, modelling, optimisation, and validation
  • Support antenna integration and system-level testing activities
  • Work closely with RF, systems, mechanical, and electronics engineers across multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and programme teams
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
  • Contribute to project planning, technical reviews, and engineering decision-making
  • Produce clear technical documentation and reports
  • Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Electronics, Communications, RF, Microwave Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
  • Strong background in antenna design and RF engineering
  • Experience using antenna simulation and modelling tools such as CST, HFSS, or similar
  • Understanding of antenna measurement and validation techniques
  • Ability to lead technical activities and influence engineering direction
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within aerospace, defence, communications, or related high-technology sectors
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations
  • Exposure to phased arrays, anti-jam systems, or advanced RF technologies
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineers within project teams
