About the Role
We’re looking to appoint a Recruitment Consultant to support the expansion of a non-housing Estates & Property Management temporary desk within our Construction & Property business in Bristol. This role is part of a strategic desk expansion, carving out a dedicated focus on estates-led, white-collar roles across the public sector. The desk already generates revenue without formal focus and mirrors a highly successful Southampton operation, providing a proven blueprint for growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Growing a dedicated Estates & Property Management temp desk across the West region (Bristol, South Devon & Cornwall, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire)
- Working on senior, white-collar roles including: Asset Managers, Property Managers, Estates Managers, Building Surveyors, Project Managers (including damp & mould–focused programmes), Asbestos and compliance-led specialists
- Partnering with organisations across: NHS estates, Higher Education, Central Government and large public estates
- Leveraging existing live roles and client relationships across Hays
- Collaborating closely with the Surveying team across the South
- Building long-term, specialist market credibility rather than servicing ad-hoc demand
What We’re Looking For
- Recruitment experience, but entry-level candidates with the right drive will be considered
- Interest in estates, property, surveying or public-sector infrastructure
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Commercial mindset and appetite to own a specialist market
- Motivation to develop a desk with long-term scale rather than short-term transactions
Why Join?
- Access to team leadership training for you to evolve your career
- Cutting-edge tools and technology to enable you to make an extraordinary impact
- Generous leave entitlements to take advantage of parental leave, volunteering days, lifestyle and flex leave
- Celebrate success: Culture built on rewarding success with the opportunity to influence your earning potential with uncapped commission in addition to base salary.
- Global career opportunities - make your mark locally or explore international opportunities with Hays
- Thrive in a workplace where is celebrated, and everyone feels welcome
- Wellbeing rewards: Benefit from health, leisure and lifestyle partnership discounts
- Employee Resource Groups and Working Groups for you to connect and collaborate with like-minded colleagues
