Shorterm Group are supporting a rapidly expanding engineering business in Bristol who specialise in the manufacture of high-precision aerospace components. We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team on a shift basis, ensuring the highest levels of product conformance and supporting the machining teams on the shop floor.
The Role:
- Accurate measurement and validation of aerospace components
- First-off, in-process and final inspection activities
- Selecting appropriate measurement strategies based on tolerance requirements
- Programming and operating Aberlink CNC CMMs
- Using optical measurement tools (Keyence, shaft scanner etc.)
- Completing PPAP/FAIR reports and digital inspection documentation
- Supporting calibration activities and maintaining traceability to standards
- Raising NCRs and contributing to root cause and corrective actions
- Maintaining high standards in a 9100-compliant environment
What You'll Need:
- Strong background using manual and CNC measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience inspecting aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Aberlink programming experience (advantageous)
- Good understanding of AS/EN/JISQ 9100 QMS
- Confident using Microsoft Office 365
- Proactive, motivated, and a strong team player with a can-do attitude
