You will play a key role in delivering safety assurance and developing robust safety case evidence that supports the safe operation of critical maritime assets.
What you will need:
- British citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
- Strong understanding of defence maritime regulatory frameworks and naval safety management practices
- Experience developing Claims, Argument, Evidence based safety cases
- Experience working in consultancy, technical advisory or client facing environments
Your role:
- Develop and update safety cases for naval surface ships and associated equipment
- Identify safety critical items and define performance standards and verification approaches
- Work closely with defence clients across onsite and remote engagements
- Support the development of safety methodologies, guidance and training material
- Contribute to business development activity and future project growth
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers within the team
Your experience:
- Technical capability: Maritime safety background covering ships and submarines
- Knowledge of defence maritime regulations and safety management approaches
- Experience developing policy, standards or safety guidance
Behavioural capability:
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical groups
- Ability to work flexibly in changing client environments
- Clear communication skills with a collaborative approach
