Job Description

Hays are recruiting for a charity here in Bristol to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager to sit with the business development team and have a dotted line into the CFO.

A highly visible commercial finance role sitting at the heart of the organisation.

Reporting into the CFO / Business Development team, you'll shape pricing, modelling and commercial strategy across bids, renewals and new business-making sure decisions are backed by robust financial insight.

Responsibilities

  • Financial modelling - Build smart models, pricing strategies and business cases for bids and new opportunities.
  • uplift preparation - Lead annual submissions and support commissioner negotiations.
  • Scenario analysis - Deliver sensitivity modelling and commercial insight to guide strategic choices.
  • Cross-functional partnering - Work closely with Business Development and Operations to evaluate opportunities and support sustainable growth.
  • Commercial governance - Ensure proposals align with financial plans, governance standards and wider organisational strategy.
  • Framework development - Support the creation of commercial frameworks, costing approaches and financial tools.

Qualifications

We are looking for a commercial accountant, ideally with experience in charities, housing associations or local governments.

Within these sectors you should have significant experience with pricing and tender support, helping complex organisations with scenario modelling.

You should have strong excel skills and excellent stakeholder management.
