Due to company growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer in the Sussex area (mainly East Sussex). Basic salary range £38,000 to £41,000 per annum plus quarterly bonuses after probationary period. Company van included – not for personal use. Our client offers their customers an all‑in‑one go‑to destination for vehicle and plant repairs and maintenance. As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and a high standard of servicing and repairs on their customer's sites.
Responsibilities
- Services and repair work will be carried out on a variety of assets including but not limited to:
- Trailers
- Winches
- Dumpers
- Diggers
- Skimmers
- Telehandler
- Manitou and some smaller equipment
- Pallet trucks
- Pumps
All jobs are pre‑booked via the Head Office team. Job sheets and bookings are communicated via tablet. The candidate is required to have their own tools, but specialist tooling can be supplied if required (i.e., torque wrench and testing gauges). Working hours are 47.5 hours per week; your hours start when you leave home in the morning, not just from when you reach site.
Qualifications
- Strong plant experience, ideally with pumps, diggers, dumpers, skimmers, trailers.
- LOLER training is ideal, but training can be provided.
- Ability to work as a lone worker.
