A growing M&E Building Services contractor is looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team. This role is open to candidates at different levels – whether you are an Intermediate Estimator looking to step up or a more experienced Mechanical Estimator seeking a new challenge, there is flexibility depending on experience.
You will be involved in pricing mechanical packages across a range of commercial projects, working closely with internal teams to deliver competitive and accurate tenders.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed mechanical estimates (HVAC, plumbing, pipework etc.)
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Completing take-offs and quantifying works
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Pricing labour, materials and programme requirements
- Supporting tender submissions and commercial strategy
Requirements
- Experience within mechanical building services estimating
- Understanding of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
