Maintenance 1/Custodial performs a variety of light maintenance and janitorial custodial duties for offices and common areas as a whole.
SCHEDULE: FULL TIME, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
PAY: $18.00 - $20.00/ hour, depending on experience.
Experience: 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. High school diploma or equivalent required. Attendance at a technical training institute or program.
Work Duties:
- Perform general and preventive maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and flooring repairs.
- Respond to work orders promptly and complete tasks according to assigned priorities and timelines.
- Maintain resident units, common areas, and exterior grounds; handle basic cleaning, trash, and recycling needs.
- Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies while keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulations while communicating professionally with team members and vendors.
- May clean common areas, including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; dust, sanitize and scrub.
- Empty trash receptacles; deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles; pick up trash and keep exterior perimeter clean.
