Are you an experienced MEP (Mechanical/Electrical) Project Engineer looking to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects? Our client, a leading organisation within the infrastructure sector, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of critical building services across complex engineering assets, including tunnel portal buildings and pumping stations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee and verify the contractor's design assurance activities for building services across multiple sites
  • Ensure the integration and certification of systems including:
    • Lighting
    • Electrical
    • Mechanical
    • HVAC
    • Power
    • Fire safety
  • Provide oversight during the design phase, ensuring compliance, quality, and technical standards are met
  • Work closely with internal teams to support upfront design verification and assurance processes
  • Be primarily based on-site in Birmingham, with occasional travel as required

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in MEP / building services assurance within large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Contractor design verification
    • Systems integration
    • Certification processes
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple technical sub-systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset
  • Flexibility to work full-time, with at least 3 days per week on-site in Birmingham
