Stonefield provides consulting services for real estate developers, universities, and public agencies. We are seeking to expand our boundaries and services at all times. We believe that Surveying is a natural expansion for the firm and will allow us to service our clients' objectives on a wider platform. This is a dynamic position that will offer the opportunity for diverse interaction and rapid growth. The right candidate will bring a strong technical background, interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire for continued growth and learning. As Stonefield is a multi-disciplinary firm, interest in cross-disciplinary work within the field of civil engineering and consulting is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities- Locating and driving stakes into the ground
- Transporting necessary supplies to and stocking the field vehicle
- Proper care and maintenance of equipment
- Properly and safely using tools such as: hammer, machete, chainsaw, and shovel
- Clear survey centerline of obstructions
- Paint and mark laths
- Properly operating a level rod and Prism Pole
The following minimum requirements are expected of candidates:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to bend and stoop repeatedly and to move objects for long distances
- Must be able to work in the field in a variety of weather conditions, and out of town work possible
- Good handwriting skills for marking stakes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivation
- Knowledge of field survey engineering methods and techniques and survey instruments are a plus
