Your new job working as a Binders Technician in the Marine team will be working for a privately‑owned Global Lloyd's Broker with offices based around the UK and worldwide, with their head office based in the City. Your new Brokers employ over 5000 staff in over 90 offices worldwide and pride themselves on having an entrepreneurial culture that their clients benefit from. Due to continued successful growth within the Marine team, they are looking to recruit a Binders Technician.
Responsibilities
- Your new role as a Binders Technician in the Marine Team is a varied client service role focused on Marine Binding Authority business.
- Processing and claims will be an important part of your role and will include reviewing both new and existing binders; Premium & Claims Bordereaux processing to bureau and non-bureaus, as well as resolving coverage and accounting‑related queries, ensuring there are no delays in current or future transactions.
- Other duties will include liaising extensively with clients and underwriters, alongside building relationships with various teams.
- Other duties will include Broker Support functions, where you will be expected to Debroke, Risk sign down, prepare and maintain account statistics, and ultimately provide support in the overall servicing of the clients' account and retention of business.
Qualifications
- You will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of query handling with velonetic (including investigation and resolution) as well as accurately interpreting and applying various tax structures across accounts.
- Experience working as a Marine Technician handling binding Authorities and have experience in handling Taxes will contribute to your success in this role.
- You must have an understanding of query handling with velonetic (including investigation and resolution).
- The ideal candidate will have professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills and be able to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met to the highest quality.
