Due to continued investment in capital projects, they are looking for an experienced Building & Construction Project Leader to join their team.
THE BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION PROJECT LEADER ROLE
- Leading end-to-end client-side construction projects from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
- Coordinating and driving alignment across internal and external multi-disciplinary project teams
- Developing and maintaining detailed project delivery plans, CAPEX business cases, and risk & opportunity registers
- Managing budgets and controlling expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources
- Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, compliant, and maintained throughout delivery
- Upholding strong Health & Safety standards across all project activity
- Identifying, managing, and escalating risks with effective mitigation strategies
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION PROJECT LEADER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven construction sector project management experience (client-side experience essential)
- Strong ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-moving environment
- Experience translating client briefs into detailed construction scopes of work
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and their lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of the full construction project lifecycle and delivery processes
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to demonstrate strong leadership capability
- Collaborative team player who integrates well within established project teams
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/HND in Construction, Building Services or equivalent experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET)
- Competent using project management tools such as MS Project and G Suite
