Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Estimator based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full‑time permanent basis.
- Summary
- Location: Bedford
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am‑5pm, Friday 8.30am‑4.30pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and bid submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Obtain and analyse quotations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Highlight potential risks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Support project handovers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in estimating within commercial/industrial construction.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong numerical ability alongside analytical and communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
