We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a high‑profile MOD programme delivering secure, mission‑critical network capabilities.
This is a hands‑on architecture role requiring deep technical expertise across modern data centre and wide area networking technologies.
Working within a highly secure environment, you will be responsible for designing, assuring and evolving complex network architectures that support large‑scale digital transformation and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure network architectures for enterprise and defence environments.
- Produce high and low‑level network designs, technical documentation and implementation plans.
- Lead network architecture decisions across data centre, campus and WAN environments.
- Provide technical assurance and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, security and delivery teams to ensure successful deployment of network solutions.
- Support troubleshooting and optimisation of complex network infrastructures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active DV Clearance.
- Proven experience operating as a Network Architect within complex enterprise or defence environments.
• Strong expertise in
- BGP
- EVPN‑VXLAN
- Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- WAN Architecture and Design
- Experience with modern data centre networking technologies and architectures.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and secure‑by‑design approaches.
- Ability to produce detailed technical designs and architecture documentation.
- Experience working within large‑scale transformation or infrastructure programmes.
- Experience delivering solutions within MOD.
