The Role
As Assembly Technician you will assemble, service and repair electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics. You will determine the action required when a product is returned.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical/mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics using drawings and work instructions.
- Self-inspection and testing.
- Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.
- Pick parts and kits required to carry out tasks.
- Acquire spare parts as required for repair technicians.
- Create requests to return products to customers, stock, service stock or for scrap.
- Scrap products and associated parts deemed of no further use.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to GCSE level C or above in Maths and English.
- Computer literate and able to work with Microsoft Office or equivalent electronic/electro-mechanical assembly or service experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to communicate at a technical level and hold their own, both internally with NPD engineers and customers.
- Thorough understanding of electro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic assemblies.
- Team player.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
