Job Description Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing / Retrofit West Midlands | Birmingham / M5-M6 Corridor | £35,000 - £45,000 + Package We are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team delivering social housing, planned works and retrofit programmes across the West Midlands. Based from the Birmingham area, you'll support projects throughout the western side of the region and work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and operational teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS who already has some relevant experience and wants to build a long-term career within a major construction and regeneration business. The Role Subcontractor procurement and enquiries Analysis of subcontractor quotations Preparing valuations and applications Processing subcontractor payments Cost monitoring and reporting Managing variations Site measurement Forecasting Commercial administration Supporting monthly CVRs Attending site and commercial meetings Assisting with final accounts You will work closely with the wider Commercial and Operational teams and be given increasing responsibility as your experience develops. Your Background The ideal candidate will have some previous Quantity Surveying experience within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit. Experience within any of the following would be particularly relevant Planned Maintenance Kitchens
