We’re working with a leading EPC contractor specialising in large-scale renewable energy and grid connection projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
The Role
As Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support the Project Management team across all stages of project delivery — from planning and procurement through to construction and commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to major renewable energy infrastructure projects and develop toward a full Project Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating and delivering solar and BESS projects.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.
- Help manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Monitor project performance and identify potential risks or delays.
- Support project documentation, including progress reports and method statements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance.
About You
- Previous experience in renewable energy, electrical, or infrastructure projects (solar or BESS).
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
- Good understanding of construction or project delivery processes.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
- HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.
