What You'll Be Doing
- Leading all activity around highway electrical assets, ensuring they are safe, compliant and performing as they should.
- Planning and delivering maintenance strategies, cyclic testing programmes and reactive works.
- Owning statutory compliance across electrical testing, condition surveys and certification.
- Managing the unmetered energy extract and keeping inventory records accurate and up to date.
- Controlling budgets across electrical testing, high masts, tunnels and specialist assets.
- Handling accident damage and insurance claims – and challenging costs where needed.
- Driving energy-efficient, cost-effective lighting solutions and supporting procurement.
- Maintaining and improving the quality of the asset database and all statutory documentation.
- Acting as a key technical advisor to internal teams, contractors and stakeholders.
- Providing senior cover when required for the CMS Manager and Highways Electrical Duty Holder.
What You'll Bring
- Level 7 engineering qualification (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 4+ in Street Lighting/Electrical Engineering.
- EngTech registration or equivalent.
- SMSTS and strong knowledge of Health.
