Our client, a large and well-established education provider, is seeking an experienced Academic Standards and Compliance Manager to lead quality assurance, academic standards and regulatory compliance across Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeship provision. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure academic governance frameworks remain robust, compliant and aligned with external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading academic quality assurance and compliance activities
- Managing awarding body, OfS and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing validation, monitoring and review processes
- Supporting academic governance boards and committees
- Managing external audits, inspections and quality reviews
- Leading compliance reporting, risk monitoring and action planning
- Ensuring student records, assessment processes and awards remain compliant
- Supporting apprenticeship quality assurance and IQA processes
- Acting as the key liaison with external partners and awarding organisations
Candidates should have:
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant FE and HE quality assurance or academic standards experience
- Strong knowledge of awarding body compliance requirements
- Detailed understanding of the OfS regulatory framework, including B1, B2 and B3 conditions
- Experience supporting audits, inspections and regulatory reporting
- Exceptional analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A current and valid ENHANCED DBS, or willingness to obtain one
