Agtegra Cooperative is a local agricultural cooperative headquartered in Aberdeen, SD. It is owned by over 7,000 farmers and ranchers, predominantly in North and South Dakota, with a network of over 70 locations and 850 employees. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operator to join our Agronomy and Grain Operations team. The Operator will assist the agronomy and grain departments with day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute processes and operate machinery and equipment as required, including loading chemical, seed or fertilizer to customers with Payloaders, Skidloaders, Tractor/Mowers, Locomotives, Telehandlers and Forklifts.
  • Execute processes and operate machinery for loading and unloading trucks and railcars, and other grain handling such as filling or reclaiming ground piles, transferring and blending.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment, troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
  • Monitor equipment, operating control systems, processing samples, and use computer systems to input and record data.
  • Interact with customers, peers, and management to provide customer service, pursue continuous improvement, and promote teamwork.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA, vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma/GED or 0‑1 year related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to obtain a CDL.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • English proficiency.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, dust, loud noise, using PPE including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in agriculture.
Physical Demands

Requires standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, taste or smell; frequently reaching, climbing, balance, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; occasionally sitting. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, electrical shock risk, and loud noise levels.
