The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and optimise electro-mechanical systems. The role involves close collaboration with electrical, manufacturing, and testing teams to take concepts through to validated, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned design packages and oversee drafting support.
- Produce and check drawings, calculations, specifications, and procedures.
- Resolve manufacturing and testing issues.
- Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Apply engineering analysis to verify performance and integrity.
- Support prototype builds and testing activities.
- Improve designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Maintain quality standards and contribute to design reviews.
- Provide clear documentation and progress updates.
