Salary: £28,000 – £30,000

Hours: 40 per week (8:00am – 4:30pm, 30-minute unpaid break)

Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover until approx. 31st October)

Adecco are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Customer Care & Production Planning Coordinator to join their team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business, known for its strong reputation within its sector and commitment to delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. The Role

This is a varied and integral position combining customer service, order management, and production planning. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive an excellent service while supporting the smooth running of operations. Acting as the central point of communication, you’ll liaise with customers, planning, procurement, and operations teams to keep orders moving, resolve issues quickly, and ensure plans remain on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Care
    • Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery
    • Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution
    • Produce accurate quotes, credits, and invoices
    • Communicate delays and manage customer expectations
    • Monitor open orders and flag any risks to delivery targets
    • Maintain price lists and system data
    • Update logistics plans and internal reporting
  • Production Planning
    • Run stock reports and support demand planning
    • Create and maintain production schedules
    • Provide lead times for out-of-stock items
    • Monitor daily plans and elevate potential delays
    • Support operational updates and reporting
  • Procurement Support
    • Raise and process purchase orders
    • Set up and maintain supplier records

About You

  • Proven experience in a customer service role with a proactive attitude
  • Confident communicator (phone and email)
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • ERP system experience (e.g. NAV or similar) is desirable
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
