We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in aviation structures and rotary aircraft design to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace projects in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural components and assemblies for rotary-wing aircraft.
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Conduct design reviews, stress considerations, and modification assessments.
- Liaise with cross-functional engineering and production teams to ensure design integrity and compliance.
- Support documentation and certification requirements for aerospace standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in rotary aircraft or aerospace structural design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and deliver to tight project timelines.
- Must be based in or able to commute to the Yeovil area.
