A multi-skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production machinery within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role is primarily electrically biased (60%) with mechanical responsibilities (40%), ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and packaging machinery
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
- Work with control panels, sensors, drives, and PLC systems
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring electrical issues
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations
- Perform mechanical maintenance on conveyors, motors, belts, and gearboxes
- Assist with breakdown repairs to minimise production downtime
- Carry out routine inspections and equipment servicing
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery
Skills & Experience Required
