Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage cost planning, forecasting, and reporting for major civil engineering work packages.
  • Administer NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and effective change control.
  • Prepare and review valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, supporting dispute resolution where necessary.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial performance tracking.
  • Support procurement and subcontractor management processes.
  • Maintain robust commercial governance and audit compliance.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS on major infrastructure projects (£50m+).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK construction law.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.

It’s great if you also have the following:

  • Experience in nuclear or highly regulated sectors.
  • Familiarity with cost management software and digital reporting tools.
  • Background in dispute resolution and claims management.
