We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Technical Estimator to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong engineering knowledge and estimating experience to play a key role in supporting sales, production, and purchasing functions. You will be responsible for interpreting customer drawings and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and identifying the most effective manufacturing routes for customer projects. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and overseas suppliers to help deliver high‑quality solutions and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret customer drawings and technical requirements at enquiry and order stage
- Prepare accurate job estimates including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routes
- Assess opportunities for outsourcing or alternative supply solutions where appropriate
- Support contract reviews for both standard and technical orders when required
- Work closely with Sales Teams to provide technical and commercial support
- Assist with sourcing enquiries and supplier communication, including overseas suppliers
- Liaise with purchasing and production teams to ensure smooth project coordination
- Support business growth and customer development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and general housekeeping duties
- Demonstrate flexibility to complete tasks outside normal working hours when required
