As Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver programme objectives, ensuring strong performance across delivery, cost, quality and customer satisfaction. You will act as the primary customer interface for programme delivery, playing a key role in driving performance, managing risk, and optimising financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve programme objectives, ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery
- Acting as the primary customer interface for hardware delivery and programme performance
- Managing programme financials including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost optimisation initiatives
- Overseeing planning, resource allocation and delivery milestones across the programme
- Driving continuous improvement activities using established methodologies (Gemba, CI tools)
- Supporting internal and customer programme reviews and reporting
- Managing change activities, bids, RFQs and business cases
- Maintaining programme governance, ensuring alignment with business management systems
- Preparing and delivering communications to senior leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in programme or project management within engineering or manufacturing environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior levels
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance (cost, cash, margin)
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver against milestones and objectives
- Strong organisational and analytical capability, with experience managing multiple priorities within complex programmes
- Experience working within structured programme governance environments, including reporting and review processes
- Knowledge of project planning tools (e.g. MS Project) and programme management methodologies
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and continuous improvement approaches
