Shift Pattern: Double Days

Pay Rate: £38.27 per hour, 39 hours per week - £56k Salary equivalent
Premium Overtime for Saturday and Sundays
Pay Method: Umbrella PAYE
Industry: Automotive (FMCG/Warehouse/Pharmaceutical experience also considered)
You’ll support the fabrication and assembly of Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units and other electrification technologies, working with lightweight aluminium components in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure weld integrity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting prior to welding.
- Conduct visual inspections and support NDT or quality checks where required.
- Rectify weld defects and implement corrective actions.
- Support production targets while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with weekend/shutdown work and continuous improvement activities.
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder, with a strong focus on aluminium.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
- Skilled in fabrication, joint preparation, and finishing of aluminium components.
- Strong understanding of welding parameters, heat control, and distortion management.
- Coding (or proof of previously coded) / qualifications in TIG welding (e.g. ISO 9606).
