Working within a modern and highly organised production facility, you will play a key role in the auto electrical installation and conversion of brand-new commercial and specialist vehicles. The company manufactures bespoke vehicle conversions for a wide range of industries, meaning no two builds are the same. The Auto Electrician work is varied, hands-on, and suited to individuals who enjoy practical electrical installation work within a production or automotive environment.

Duties of the Auto Electrician position:

  • Installation of 12V and 24V electrical systems into brand-new vehicles; routing and securing wiring looms throughout vehicle bodies and chassis.
  • Crimping, terminating, soldering, and connecting electrical components.
  • Installing and wiring:
    • LED lighting systems
    • Beacons and light bars
    • Reverse cameras and parking sensors
    • Split charge systems
    • Inverters and power supplies
    • Tail-lifts and auxiliary equipment
  • Fault finding and testing electrical circuits using diagnostic equipment and multimeters.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and build instructions.
  • Fitting additional vehicle equipment including racking systems, shelving, false floors, storage units, and bespoke accessories.
  • Supporting final testing and quality inspections prior to vehicle handover.
  • Working closely with the production and fitting teams to achieve build deadlines.
