An opportunity has arisen in our client's busy Wick factory for a Workshop Technician to work with the team helping to deliver harsh environment and marine CCTV systems to new and existing customers across a range of key sectors, in the UK and internationally. The position is full-time, 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Duties Include:
- CNC Milling and Turning.
- Setting and operating manual lathes and milling machines.
- Using high precision measuring equipment to inspect manufactured items.
- Maintenance, inspection and cleaning of workshop equipment and environment.
- General workshop duties.
- Working to company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participating in the Imenco Continual Improvement Process.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous relevant experience in a similar position.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of workshop operations.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Good team player but ability to use own initiative when required.
- Strong commitment to providing a high-quality service.
- Highly accurate with attention to detail.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
- A knowledge of CNC programming is also desirable, but training will be given.
