Location: North Somerset (covering Southwest England & South Wales)

Rate/Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) + commission per contract secured

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Fire & Security Power & Propulsion & Shipbuilding Sectors. The client is an established and well-regarded fire and security company based in North Somerset, supporting customers across the Southwest of England and South Wales.

Duties and responsibilities of the Fire & Security Engineer:

  • Installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control Systems
  • Fault finding and rectification across a variety of security and fire platforms
  • Working across commercial and residential client sites
  • Ensuring all work is completed to relevant industry standards and company procedures
  • Completing job reports and documentation using company software
  • Participating in an on-call rota (one week in four)
  • Providing excellent customer service and technical support
  • Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Qualifications and requirements for the Fire & Security Engineer:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the fire and security industry
  • Strong knowledge of installation and servicing of multi-discipline systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rota
  • Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience)

Systems Used:

  • Fire: C-Tec, Fike, Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Kentec, Protec (Addressable & Conventional)
  • Intruder: Pyronix, Orisec, Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Risco, Menvier
  • CCTV: Dahua
  • Access Control: Paxton, Videx, ACET

Working Hours & Package:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Occasional Saturday work with notice (paid extra)
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Christmas to New Year closure with shared call cover
  • Company van, insurance & fuel card
  • Pension scheme
  • All company insurances covered
