Responsibilities:
- Inspecting precision machined components at goods-in, in-process and final inspection stages
- Using CMM equipment, height gauges, micrometers, verniers and optical comparators to verify dimensions against drawing
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T)
- Raising and recording non-conformances, completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records
- Supporting first article inspections (FAI) and working closely with the Quality Engineer on CAPA activity
Qualifications:
- Previous inspection experience in a precision machining or CNC manufacturing environment
- Confident using conventional measurement equipment — micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, CMM
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances and GD&T symbols
- A methodical, accurate approach and a genuine eye for detail
