A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Production / Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, shop-floor based role working within a fast-paced production environment, ensuring products meet strict quality, safety, and specification standards before dispatch. You will be working closely with the Health & Safety and Quality Manager, supporting day-to-day quality assurance activity across the production lines. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the factory environment rather than office-based QA work.
The Role
- Monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Carrying out inspections and ensuring all units meet required standards before leaving site.
- Inspecting manufactured units on the production line for quality, accuracy, and finish.
- Carrying out functional checks and basic testing of products.
- Identifying defects, non-conformances, and raising issues for corrective action.
- Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation.
- Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues in real time.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities across the shop floor.
- Ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures and safety standards.
- Escalating serious quality concerns to the Quality / H&S Manager.
- Supporting general manufacturing quality control processes as required.
About You
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
- A practical, hands-on approach to work on the shop floor.
- Good communication skills when working with production teams.
- Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.

- Monday to Friday.
- Afternoon / evening shift (12:00-20:30).
