Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, accurate and timely fabrication work. Using your welding expertise, you’ll help maintain product quality, operational performance and overall site efficiency, contributing directly to business profitability and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and welding specifications
- Setting up, preparing and operating TIG welding equipment
- Welding and fabricating stainless steel components to a high standard
- Assembling metal structures and components to exact design requirements
- Inspecting welded joints to ensure quality, strength and compliance
- Identifying welding defects and carrying out repairs or adjustments
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Setting up, maintaining and reporting faults on welding tools and equipment
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with health & safety standards
- Following all site HSE procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times
- Safely handling gases, tools, materials and hazardous substances
- Working collaboratively with fabricators, engineers and supervisors to meet deadlines
- Actively participating in safety briefings, toolbox talks and risk assessments
- Reporting hazards, near misses or incidents promptly
About You
- Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel
- Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
- Awareness of welding codes, quality systems and safe manufacturing practices
- A proactive, team‑focused attitude with good communication skills
- A strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site HSE procedures
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is essential.
