Ambitek is recruiting experienced Skilled Structural MIG Welders to join our client’s busy fabrication team in Winsford. This is a long‑term contracting opportunity offering strong rates, steady hours, and ongoing work for reliable, qualified welders.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of structural steel beams, end‑plates, and associated components.
- Using solid wire MIG in the down‑hand position.
- Completing 10mm T‑joint multi‑run fillet welds, including controlled start/stop techniques.
- Working accurately from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Ensuring all welds meet required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural MIG welding, ideally within a fabrication workshop environment.
- Ability to produce a high‑standard 10mm multi‑run T‑joint fillet weld.
- Must successfully pass a trade test prior to starting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high‑quality workmanship.
- Local candidates only — no accommodation provided.
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 07:45 – 16:45
- Friday: 07:45 – 12:45
- Overtime available after 39 hours at an enhanced rate.
Additional Information
