A well-established specialist contractor operating within the residential development sector, delivering enabling works, remediation, civil engineering and housing groundworks across the North West and wider UK. Known for its collaborative approach, strong pipeline of work and repeat client base, the company plays a key role in transforming complex sites into ready-to-build developments.
Due to continued growth, an experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to support housing groundworks projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure commercial control is maintained across multiple residential schemes.
Responsibilities- Commercial management of housing groundworks projects
- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and cost reports
- Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Cost value reconciliation (CVR) reporting
- Managing variations and change control
- Supporting tendering and pre-construction activities where required
- Maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within housing groundworks or residential civils
- Strong understanding of groundworks, infrastructure and enabling works
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
