As their client base continues to grow, they are looking for a proactive and technically skilled AV Technician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment and enjoys supporting a wide range of users, technologies, and specialist equipment.
As an AV Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of AV, IT, and specialist hardware across a large and diverse user base. You’ll provide first‑line technical support, maintain AV systems, and support live events, teaching spaces, and high‑profile activities throughout the year.
Responsibilities- Provide first‑line technical support in both corporate and public sector environments
- Manage and support 2,000+ endpoints, including Windows and macOS devices, ensuring seamless integration and performance
- Deploy, configure, and maintain specialist hardware such as projectors, printers, VR equipment, laser cutters, and other technical systems
- Deliver AV and technical support for lectures, open days, weekend events, and critical academic periods
- Set up, test, and troubleshoot AV systems including microphones, cameras, displays, control systems, and streaming equipment
- Support the operation of meeting rooms, and event venues, ensuring all technology is functioning effectively
- Create, update, and maintain training materials, user guides, documentation, and support videos to improve user self‑service
- Work collaboratively with IT, facilities, and clients to ensure a high‑quality user experience
- Assist with asset management, equipment tracking, and lifecycle planning
As a successful candidate ideally you will have experience in an AV Technician, IT Support, Technical Support, or similar hands‑on technical role with a good understanding of AV systems, hardware setup, and troubleshooting. Confident supporting Windows and macOS devices in a large‑scale environment together with excellent communication and customer‑service skills, with the ability to support users of all technical levels. Knowledge of Teams Rooms, Zoom, Crestron, Extron, or similar AV platforms and basic networking experience (IP addressing, VLANs, connectivity troubleshooting) would be beneficial.
