The Role: Are you an experienced Electrician looking to apply your skills in a dynamic maritime environment? We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. While marine experience is not essential, we welcome applications from skilled professionals in Industrial Electrical Engineering, Offshore, Defence, Utilities, or Heavy Plant sectors who can demonstrate transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and test systems ranging from 12V DC to 415V AC three-phase.
- Commission main/auxiliary switchboards, shore power, and battery banks.
- Configure CAN Bus-based networks and integrate navigation/communication equipment.
- Use technical schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Work to Lloyd’s Register and DNV standards, ensuring all documentation is completed to marine regulations.
What We Are Looking For – Essential:
- Proven experience with AC/DC system installation and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong diagnostic and independent problem-solving skills.
- A safety-conscious approach and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Experience in the following is highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a boatyard or shipyard.
