This company is now entering an exciting phase of expansion, now seeking to bring an in-house design professional to bridge the gap between design and delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Design Manager to step into a pivotal role, bringing fresh ideas, driving project quality, and playing a key part in the company's continued success.
In this role, you'll oversee the smooth delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 2 to 5.
You'll manage external stakeholders, mainly architects, ensuring that all drawings are assessed for buildability.
You'll also lead design meetings with construction teams, assist with technical queries, co-ordinate design issue information and conduct quality checks to ensure successful implementation.
The ideal candidate will have an Architectural Technologist background and a strong understanding of construction processes.
You'll be looking to step into a leadership role, working across complex and exciting new build projects with clear progression opportunities.
The Role
- Managing the design process for new build care home projects
- Liaising with external architects and consultants
- Reviewing drawings for buildability. Adapting where required and liaising with all stakeholders for implementation
- Coordinating with construction teams to ensure buildability and compliance
- The Person
- Architectural Technologist qualification or equivalent
- Experience working on new build projects
- Strong knowledge of RIBA Stages 3-5
- Full UK Driving Licence
