Responsibilities:

Assistant Gas Engineer (Mains & Services) Location: Twickenham. My Client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Gas Engineer who will play a vital role in assisting the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework and associated equipment at customer’s premises and public highways.

The Ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong customer service skills. They will also be able to prioritise well and work to tight schedules.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE
  • Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role
  • Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work
  • Manual handling
  • Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
  • Use of breathing apparatus
  • Travel will be required as part of the role

As such we would like you to:

  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Be flexible and willing to travel
  • Have strong customer services skills
  • Be an organised individual
  • Ideally hold a EUSR SHEA Gas safety qualification
  • Ideally hold a NRSWA certificate for operatives
  • Ideally Hold a NPORS plant operators qualification
