Town Planner
Location: Truro
Salary: £30-45,000
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with an award-winning, planning-led practice with an excellent reputation, which is now seeking a Town Planner to join its team in Truro.
The practice combines town planners, architects, designers and landscape architects, taking a joined-up, collaborative approach to development projects from the first concept through to completion.
You will join a professional and supportive team working on a wide mix of schemes, including residential developments, barn conversions, renewable energy projects, commercial developments and tourism proposals. The work is varied, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in interesting and challenging planning projects.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious, proactive and client-focused Town Planner with relevant experience in a planning-related role.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Planning or an equivalent planning qualification
- Appropriate experience within the planning sector
- A track record of handling a range of planning applications and development proposals
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients
- A positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- RTPI membership, which is desirable but not essentialThe practice will also support candidates who are currently working towards RTPI chartership.
