Position

Transport Planner

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

A well-known logistics company based in Immingham is looking for a hands-on Transport Planner to join their busy team.

What you\’ll be doing

• Planning and managing the daily running of the fleet.
• Making sure customer needs are met and service levels stay high.
• Keeping deliveries on track and running smoothly.
• Finding the best routes to cut down on costs.
• Planning backloads and reloads to make things efficient.
• Working closely with hauliers to assign deliveries and pickups.
• Spotting and bringing on board potential subcontractors.
• Using computer systems to schedule jobs and send them out to drivers.
• Keeping an eye on driver compliance and safety rules.
• Checking haulier documents and licenses to make sure they\’re up to scratch.
• Updating online systems and helping hauliers with their driver apps to keep customers happy.

What we\’re looking for

• At least 2 years in a similar transport planning role.
• Good knowledge of logistics, especially in freight or shipping.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good general knowledge of UK geography.
• CPC qualification is a bonus, but not essential.

Hours

9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
