Our client, a fast paced transport and logistics Company have an urgent position for a Transport Planner to join their team on a permanent basis in their offices close to Epping.

As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for coordinating collections and deliveries, ensuring routes are efficient and cost effective while maintaining compliance with driver hours and transport legislation.

You will also work closely with drivers, customers and subcontractors to manage schedules, resolve delays and optimise fleet utilisation.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, transport systems knowledge and the ability to work under pressure.

Reporting to the Transport Manager you will be responsible for

  • Route planning and scheduling
  • Driver communication
  • Customer Liaison
  • Subcontractor sourcing
  • Driver Briefing and debriefing
  • Reporting
  • Fleet utilisation
  • Administrative tasks

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous transport or logistics
  • Knowledge of driver hours, tachograph and WTD
  • Strong It skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Commercial awareness
  • Health and safety
  • Hours are Monday to Friday, 09.00-1900 this includes a paid break of 30 minutes
