The Test and Verification Engineer will work within a cross functional team on new product development and research and development projects. The successful engineer will be responsible for the system integration/development and validation of all Azenta life Science Automated Storage products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrating/configuring and developing system solutions which include automation and robotics equipment.
  • Configuring hardware and software to complete various verification tests at device level including sub-assemblies.
  • Carrying out various tests from component level to full system life cycle tests, to help assess their reliability and suitability.
  • Serving as the primary technical interface (automation and validation specialist) within a cross functional development team, providing support to Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing and Software departments.
  • Supporting and validating any quality investigations.
  • Working within a team or under their own initiative.
  • Creating/maintaining engineering documentation of test results for analysis.
  • Defining processes and test procedures.
  • General supervision of work with assignments that require a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline.
  • May be assigned larger projects as part of product development or continuous improvement process.

What You Will Bring:

  • Degree / technical qualification.
  • Proven background in automation industry within a similar role.
  • Preferably servo motion control experience but not compulsory as training will be provided.
  • Logical thinking and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to learn and tackle new technologies.
  • Excellent PC skills and report writing skills, predominantly in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • An ability to record actions step by step in order to retrace steps when an issue is found.
  • Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work.
